Pervert wanted to take schoolgirl to Burger King and get her pregnant – but she was actually a cop
A pervert who tried to meet a fictitious 12-year-old girl for sex was caught in a police sting.
David White, 37, said he wanted to get the girl pregnant, travel to her home town, take her to Burger King and have sex with her in a park.
He asked her for explicit pictures and her address, and told her to delete their communications to stop her mum finding out.
The girl – for whom White professed love, calling her a “sexy lady” – turned out to be a police officer.
He talked to the bogus child via a messaging app over a week-long period between June 7 and 14 last year.
Prosecutor Paul Cleasby said: “The chat very quickly became extremely sexually explicit.”
White sent pictures of himself, his face, his tattoos and a video of himself performing a sex act, Teesside Crown Court heard.
“The child was in fact a police officer tasked to police the internet, effectively,” added Mr Cleasby.
“The decoy tells the defendant she’s 12. He says ‘I really do love you’. He calls her a ‘sexy lady’.
“He had been sent non-explicit pictures of a young girl sent by the officer. He asked whether he could see naked pictures.”
He was arrested at his home and 19 indecent images of children – one showing the rape of a seven-year-old – were found on his phone.
Mr Cleasby said: “Search terms indicative of an interest in paedophilia were found on his mobile phone and on his laptop.”
White, of Weardale Place, Grangefield, Stockton, confessed to police and admitted one charge of attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity, and three of making indecent photographs of children – his first conviction.
Judge Sean Morris told White: “A custodial sentence is inevitable but I have to temper it on the basis that this was of course a police officer patrolling the internet and not a real young lady.
“Nonetheless it doesn’t reduce your culpability.”
White was jailed for 32 months and given a 10-year sexual harm prevention order. He will be on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely.
