Child abuser is jailed following WMP investigation
A sexual predator from Birmingham has been jailed after abusing two young girls over almost a decade.
Mark Hill sexually abused the girls during a prolonged period while they were between the ages of nine and 15.
Officers from West Midlands Police’s public protection unit began an investigation into the historical child sex abuse after the victims bravely came forward to recall what happened to them years previously.
It led to the now 54-year-old being found guilty of 12 offences of indecent assault and indecency with a child between 1995 and 2004.
Hill, of Sheldon, was sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court last Friday (10 May) to six years in prison with a further six years on extended licence and put on the Sex Offenders Register for life. He was also made subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
