A man who used to teach at Shiplake College in Henley-on-Thames has been sentenced for non-recent offences of indecent assault.

Malcolm Woodcock, 76, of Milton Demeral, Holsworthy, Devon, pleaded not guilty to eight counts of indecent assault of a boy, but was convicted of all charges by unanimous verdict at Oxford Crown Court on April 17.

He was sentenced today to a three and a half year custodial sentence at Oxford Crown Court.

The charges relate to offences that happened while Woodcock was a teacher at Shiplake College during the 1970s.

The victim, who was a teenage boy at the time, was indecently assaulted by Woodcock while he was a student at the college and the offences took place within the grounds and other locations.
