Graham Hawker, of Taunton, breached sexual harm prevention order
A convicted sex offender volunteered with a church toddler group and contacted a 14-year-old girl on Facebook.
Graham Michael Hawker committed the offences, which were in breach of a court order, in April.
Hawker, 29, of Haydon Road, Taunton, was remanded in custody after pleading guilty at Taunton Magistrates’ Court to attending the toddler group where there were children aged under 16 present on Wednesday last week.
The court heard his actions breached the terms of a sexual harm prevention order imposed at Taunton Crown Court last July for sexual crimes.
He also admitted exchanging Facebook messages with a 14-year-old girl between March 6 and April 21 this year, also in contravention of a sexual harm prevention order.
Hawker also pleaded guilty to failing to register a Halifax bank account within three days as required under the Sexual Offences Act.
He was remanded in custody and committed to Taunton Crown Court for sentencing.
The court imposed a restriction banning the identification of any of the children involved in the case.
