Paedophile jailed for possession of vile images of children

A paedophile who distributed indecent images of babies and young children to other paedophiles online has been jailed for 20 months

Daniel Stokes exchanged the vile images with at least five other ‘like minded’ people through an internet chatroom, Wolverhampton Crown Court heard

Police raided his home in Alice Walk, Bilston on October 19, 2017 and seized his mobile phone and two laptops

Analysis of the devices revealed 90 indecent images of which 36 were in the worse category showing the rape and torture

The investigation also discovered the 31-year-old had distributed a number of the images – including one of a baby being sexually abused

The recipients sent him similar images in return but no money was exchanged.

Stokes admitted six charges in total – three of making indecent images of children and three of distributing them.

He was jailed by Judge Nawas who told him:”What sort of pleasure anyone could derive from seeing young children suffering is beyond me”
