Pervert avoids prison after he was caught by paedophile hunters
A man who believed he was grooming a 14 year old child for sex has avoided a prison sentence
At the hearing on 20th March, 2019 at Derby Crown Court, Dale Paul Bexton pleaded guilty to the following charges:
Adult attempt to engage in sexual communication with a child
The court was told that Bexton had contacted the online profile who he believed belonged to a 14 year old schoolgirl.
In the chat he told her he wanted her to travel to Chesterfield to have sex with him. He also sent a number of pictures of his penis
However, the child did not exist and was instead a member of paedophile hunting team ‘Protecting our young’
Bexton arranged to meet the girl but was instead greeted by members of hunting team ‘Marine first line defence’ who questioned him on his internet activity before ringing police
