Pervert caught with indecent images of children
A police officer caught with indecent images of children has been jailed.
David Pamment, 54, who worked for the Ministry of Defence, was found with dozens of images on his electronic devices.
Southampton Crown Court heard how Pamment came to the attention of police during an investigation into peer-to-peer sharing websites.
Police visited Pamment’s Eastleigh home on February 11, last year.
When they examined his electronic devices, they found a total of 31 indecent images, including 17 category A images, 12 category B and two category C.
Pamment, of Charlie Soar Court, pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of a child.
He was jailed for a total of eight months.
Pamment was also made the subject of a 10-year sexual harm prevention order and will be on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
