Droitwich man sentenced for grooming and inciting sex with underage girl
A pervert that groomed what he believed was a child online has been put on the sex offenders register
Philip Greenhouse, aged 39 and of Priory Gardens, Union Lane, Droitwich appeared at Hereford Crown Court where he was sentenced for a number of offences including attempting to meet a girl under the age of 16 and possession of cannabis.
The court was told that Greenhouse had contacted what he believed was the online profile of a young girl. He sent a number of sexual messages with the clear intent of engaging the child into sexual activity
Greenhouse arranged to meet the child, but when he turned up at Droitwich train station, he was greeted by members of a paedophile hunting team
The team told him that the child did not exist and it was actually an adult member of paedophile hunting team ‘Internet Interceptors’ who pose online as children in order to catch sexual predators who target kids
The police were called and Greenhouse was arrested.
When police analysed his computer devices, they found he had downloaded indecent images of children
Greenhouse was placed on the sex offenders for five years
