Dad-of-three carried out sex attack on teenager in Wrexham alleyway

A father-of-three who carried out an alleyway sex attack on a teenage girl has been jailed for five years.

Amer Aldeii, a Syrian refugee, targeted the girl as she walked home from a Wrexham nightclub in the early hours of September 9 last year.

Mold Crown Court heard Aldeii would most likely be deported after serving his sentence.

Judge Niclas Parry told the 32-year-old his actions that night were “the acts of a predator”.

Aldeii who said he wanted to offer the 18-year-old a pizza and check if she was alright – was convicted of two counts of sexual assault.

He was cleared of a further charge of attempted rape.

Aldeii, of Lorne Street in Wrexham, followed the two day trial at with the aid of a Syrian interpreter.

The judge ordered that he register with the police as a sex offender for life.

An indefinite restraining order was made not to approach the victim in any way, including on social media.

Sentencing him, Judge Parry said: “You saw this girl for what she was, alone at a quarter to four in the morning, clearly an easy target.”

The court heard he had followed the girl, who had been drinking, for some minutes.

“You had a good look at her and you formed the view that you wanted to have sexual activity with her.

Although he was within 100 yards of his home he could not “control his urges”.

The girl who was sitting down and in a vulnerable state did her best to stop the assault.

It was not a short incident and lasted some minutes.
