Delivery man from Snodland found guilty of exposure
Ex-soldier Robert Jenner went “commando” while delivering parcels, a jury has decided.
The 44-year-old self-styled naturist had revealed he didn’t wear underpants while working as a delivery driver and wearing jeans with a hole cut out in the crutch.
Dressed in a dark suit, white shirt and brown tie, Jenner remained impassive as the jury returned guilty verdicts on 10 offences of exposure.
The jury has yet to returned a verdict on an 11th offence. He had denied all the charges.
During his trial at Canterbury Crown Court he said he became a naturist after serving with the infantry in Iraq.
His barrister Kate Chidgey asked: “Do you consider yourself to be a naturist?”
Jenner, of Bingley Close, Snodland , added:”To me naturism means being open.”
Dressed in a smart black suit, white shirt and tie he was asked what reactions he received when he was out and about.
“To me naturism means being open…” Rob Jenner
He replied: “Most people are indifferent. Some are bemused and laughing and joking. I can’t think of a time when someone was alarmed, or shocked.”
Jenner said he had been on naturist trips to Alton Towers and other theme parks in the West Country and on naked bike rides.
He added he had also visited naturist beaches and when asked if he was naked he replied: “Yes..well unless the temperature fell!”
Jenner revealed that in February 2017 he was acquitted on 13 charges of disorderly behaviour.
