Ayrshire pervert had ‘significant sexual contact’ with schoolgirl, 13, found in his bedroom

A 28-year-old pervert has been jailed for having “significant sexual contact” with a 13-year-old girl.

Sick Samuel Davidson, of Watson Terrace in Drongan, was caught out when officers found the girl in his bedroom on May 6, 2018.

Her parents had filed a missing persons report after the girl snuck out of the house shortly after midnight.

Ayr Sheriff Court heard at a previous hearing that officers traced the girl within Davidson’s bedroom while she was getting dressed.

Davidson could not explain why he didn’t phone the police when the girl went to his house the previous night – knowing she was only 13.

His mobile phone was seized and police interviews were carried out.

During an interview with the teen, officers asked what she made of her being 13 and Davidson being 27.

She replied that he told her “It was only 14 years and didn’t matter.”

A number of text messages found on his phone discussed how the pair planned to have sex together.

A message sent from the girl said: “It’s my first time and I don’t know what to expect.”

Davidson replied: “There’s nothing to worry about gorgeous.”

Davidson admitted engaging in sexual activity with the teen on various occasions between April 18, 2018 and May 7 and sending her messages of a sexual nature.

Weighing up sentencing options, the Sheriff told Davidson: “I’ve given considerable thought to this case.

“I’ve heard all the facts and a compelling plea from Mr Maxwell and considered reports from the social work department.

“But at the end of the day, you as a 27-year-old man had significant sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl who I believe is vulnerable.”

The Sheriff sentenced Davidson to a total of 18 months behind bars and placed him on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years.

Davidson will be supervised by social work upon his release and was also prohibited from contacting any female under 16 years old for a period of five years.

He is also required to make his mobile and other devices available to the police for inspection.

Drongan man, 28, snared for having sexual relations with 13-year-old girl

A 28-year-old man was snared for having sexual relations with a 13-year-old girl after her parents filed a missing persons report.

Sick Samuel Davidson, of Watson Terrace in Drongan, was caught out when officers found the teen in his bedroom on May 6, 2018.

Ayr Sheriff Court heard Davidson engaged in sexual activity with the teen on various occasions between April 18, 2018 and May 7.

The court heard on May 6 last year the girl’s parents left her in the living room watching TV and on her phone while they went to sleep.

But shortly after midnight, the teen snuck out of the house after agreeing to meet a friend.

The pair agreed to go to Davidson’s house where they watched a film together before the girl’s friend left them alone.

The following morning, the girl’s parents filed a missing persons report with the police.

Officers traced the girl within Davidson’s bedroom who was getting dressed.

Davidson could not explain why he didn’t phone the police when the girl went to his house the previous night – knowing she was only 13.

A message sent from the girl said: “It’s my first time and I don’t know what to expect.”

Davidson replied: “There’s nothing to worry about gorgeous.”

And he also messaged how he “could never get enough” of the teen.

Solicitor Steven Maxwell said: “He’s hidden this matter from his father.

“The narration was given to my client’s father to understand the prediciment his son is in.”

Sheriff Scott Pattison said he would defer sentencing for the preparation of reports.

The Sheriff told Davidson: “You’ll be interviewed by a social worker and you need to give them the information they ask of you.

“Because of the nature of these offences you’ll be subject to the Sex Offenders’ Register from today.

“When you’re sentenced you’ll be told the length of time for.

The Sheriff further warned: “And given the nature of the charges – although I’m not ruling out custody, you should prepare yourself for custody.”

Davidson admitted engaging in sexual activity with a 13-year-old and sending her messages of a sexual nature.
