‘Dangerous and prolific’ sex offender arrested in Oldham

A wanted sex offender has been arrested in Oldham following a police appeal.

Andrew Cunningham went missing from an address in Blackburn on Saturday, November 25, after police said he breached his licence conditions.

The 35-year-old was convicted of three sex assaults in Manchester in 2007, 2011 and 2016.

Lancashire Police issued an urgent appeal on Thursday evening asking for help to find him and he was arrested in Chadderton on the same night.

Police said in the appeal it was likely Cunningham was somewhere in Manchester.
