‘Dangerous sexual predator’ from Staffordshire set up secret cameras to film victims
‘Dangerous sexual predator’ Garyth Twiselton has been locked up after admitting a range of sex offences against adults and children.
The 32-year-old’s crimes included setting up secret cameras to film his victims – with police confiscating hundreds of voyeurism films.
Today Twiselton, of Northwell Road in Burton in East Staffordshire, was jailed for 12 years at Stafford Crown Court after admitting 13 offences.
He pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent photographs, five counts of voyeurism, possessing an extreme pornographic image portraying assault by penetration, two counts of taking an indecent photograph and sexual assault.
He also pleaded guilty as an offender aged 18 or over to causing/inciting a girl aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity – no penetration.
Judge Michael Chambers, sentencing, said: “You’re a dangerous sexual predator from whom the public needs protection.
“You are an intelligent, educated man. Most offences were planned and premeditated. They were committed against children and adults and were numerous in nature and number.”
Twiselton, who must serve a minimum of seven years, was arrested by police in January 2017 and further offences came to light with hundreds of voyeurism films confiscated.
He was also made subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
