Paedophile travelled to hotel near Derby for sex with 12-year-old

A 57-year-old paedophile has admitted trying to arrange to meet a 12-year-old girl for sex at a hotel near Derby.

Wearing a blue jumper and a blue coat, Kenneth Bond pleaded guilty to two child sex charges when he appeared from custody at Derby Crown Court.

The hearing was told how they related to him making contact over the internet with a girl called “Lucy” who did not really exist.

On November 23 he arranged to meet “Lucy” and her father at the Jury’s Inn, East Midlands Airport, believing both he and the other man would engage in sex with her.

And, on November 9, Bond attempted to communicate messages to the same girl for the purposes of sexual gratification.

Prosecutor Steven Taylor told the hearing police have now seized a number of computers and electronic devices belonging to the defendant which they will analyse and see if any further charges will be brought against him.

Bond, of Worcester Road, Malvern, Worcestershire was remanded into custody and is next scheduled to appear at Derby Crown Court on April 3.
