Convicted of child abduction

A man faces a jail term after pleading guilty to abducting a child.

Jay Green, 22, “had feelings” for a girl aged under 16 but denied any sexual activity with her or intending to engage in any.

Green, of Ellenborough Park Road in Weston-super-Mare, pleaded guilty to abducting a child on November 13.

Judge Mark Horton confirmed there was no evidence of sexual activity in the case.

But he told Bristol Crown Court: “There is evidence of an entirely lopsided relationship. The court needs to understand the full background on this from your perspective.”

The adjourned the case for a probation report, pending sentence on January 25.

Green, who admitted being in breach of two suspended prison sentences related to possessing cannabis, was remanded in custody.
