Boy underwent precautionary HIV test after this pervert performed sex act on himself in front of victim

Pervert Wayne Baker has been jailed after he performed a sex act on himself in front of a child who later underwent a precautionary HIV test.

The 43-year-old – who has a history of making indecent images of children – committed the offence in front of the youngster for his own sexual gratification.

He also breached his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and failed to comply with the notification requirements of the sex offenders’ register.

Now Baker has been jailed for four years and two months at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.

The court heard the defendant has several previous convictions for making indecent images of children and in February 2016 he was sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended for two years.

But prosecutor Adam Western says Baker showed a blatant disregard for the orders when he committed this offence.

The court heard the defendant had told a woman he had been tested for HIV and was negative. The woman called the police after Baker performed the sex act.

The boy had a precautionary HIV test as a result of the incident and this came back negative.

Baker, of Moorland Road, Burslem, pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child; breaching the suspended sentence order; two offences of breaching the SHPO and failing to comply with the notification requirements of the sex offenders’ register.

Recorder Baz Bhatia said Baker had ‘blatantly disregarded’ his court orders.

He told the defendant: “The court orders were made not for your convenience but for the protection of children from you. These breaches reflect a blatant disregard for court orders. You have a history of non-compliance with court orders.”
