Pensioner convicted of sex offences has died in Chelmsford Prison
A sex offender jailed last year for a string of disturbing offences has died in Chelmsford Prison.
The paedophile was being treated in the Category B institution’s medical wing when he died of cancer in the early hours of Sunday, October 28.
Brian John Tusan, 81, was serving a seven-and-a-half year prison sentence; there were 10 charges against him – six of them involved a child.
Tusan was 80 years old when he was jailed on October 26, 2017 and only spent one year and two days behind bars before his death.
The following offences were committed by Tusan:
Six counts of causing to incite a female child under the age of 13 to engage with sexual activity, with no penetration;
Assaulting a girl under 13;
Assaulting a girl under 13 by penetration with part of his body/a thing; and
Two counts of sexual assault of a female.
