Man jailed for sexually assaulting a schoolgirl
A man found guilty of sexually assaulting a school girl has been jailed.
Angel Huberto Clavijo-Lopez, 43, (16.05.75) of Linthorpe Road, N16 was sentenced to four years imprisonment on Thursday, 25 October at Wood Green Crown Court.
He had been found guilty at the same court on Tuesday, 2 October.
The court heard that on Saturday, 21 May 2016, Clavijo-Lopez was invited back to the 11-year-old victim’s home address by her mother who knew the defendant.
He stayed overnight. When the victim’s mother was sleeping, Clavijo-Lopez entered her bedroom, got into her bed with her and sexually assaulted her.
As he left the victim’s room he threatened her and said that what he had done should be kept as their secret.
Clavijo-Lopez was arrested on Thursday, 8 September 2016 and subsequently charged on Friday, 5 January 2018.
In addition to the four year sentence, Clavijo-Lopez was issued with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for an indefinite period and was placed on the Sex offenders register for life.
