Six-year sentence for man guilty of sexual abuse
A Leicester man has been jailed for a string of non-recent sexual abuse.
Randolph Stott, known as Andy, was sentenced to six years when he appeared at Leicester Crown Court today (Wednesday 10 October).
Stott, 71, began abusing his two victims when they were both aged between 10 and 11.
He started abusing his first victim in the mid 1990s, continuing until the end of the decade. Stott took advantage of her while they were alone together, buying her presents while also giving her money.
Stott, of Hesketh Avenue, Leicester, began abusing his second victim in the late 1990s, buying her presents and also taking her on trips.
Both victims reported the abuse to Leicestershire Police last year. Stott subsequently pleaded guilty to nine counts of indecent assault at Leicester Crown Court on 21 September.
He is also subject to a lifetime sexual harm prevention order and must sign the sex offenders register for life.
