Dundee child abuser guilty
A Dundee man is facing prison after being found guilty of a historic child sex offence.
Alan Hardie, of Fintryside, stood trial accused of committing attacks on children in Dundee during the 1990s.
The 60-year-old was indicted on three charges at the High Court in Edinburgh.
A jury found him guilty of one charge, that between January 1991 and August 1993, at an address in Downfield, he carried out lewd, libidinous and indecent practices towards a child by performing a sex act in front of the youngster.
Hardie also induced the child to perform a sex act, forced the child to watch a pornographic film and sexually assaulted the child.
He was cleared of two charges alleging he used lewd, libidinous and indecent practices towards a second child between 1991 and 1999.
After being found guilty, sentence was deferred on Hardie until October 26 and he was remanded in custody.
