Serial offending paedophile jailed

A serial paedophile from Essex has been jailed after he was convicted for child sexual offences for a third time

Reginald Simon’s, 67 of Rayleigh, appeared at St. Albans Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to:

  • Inciting a child aged under 13 to engage in sexual activity

  • Sexual assault of a child aged under 13 by penetration

  • Sexual assault on a child aged under 13

The court was told that the female victim was aged just eight years old when the abuse began. The sexual attacks were repeated and systematic. 

The judge addressed Simon’s as he sentenced him, and told him that his history of offending was shocking and made him a clear danger to all children. The judge stated the pervert was a “serial paedophile”

Simon’s first conviction was in 1972 & and he was convicted again in 1989. Both conviction relate to sexual offences against young girls in Waltham Forest

The judge sentenced him to six years imprisonment with a four year extended license upon release

The judge told Simon’s that he must adhere to an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and that he must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life
