Pervert caught by paedophile hunting team ‘Silent Justice’
A pervert has avoided a prison sentence after he groomed what he believed was a young girl online
David Witkiss, 48 of Ellesmere Port appeared in court where he pleaded guilty to sexual communication with a child
The court was told that Witkiss contacted the online profile of what he believed was a female child. Witkiss introduced himself and he received a reply that clearly stated he was talking to a child who was aged 13
Witkiss sent a string of sexually charged messages, which explained his desire to engage in sexual activity with the girl. He spoke in detail about sexual intercourse and his fetish for young girls underwear
However, the child was actually a decoy from paedophile hunting team ‘Silent justice’ who pose online in an attempt to catch online child groomers.
The judge handed Witkiss a three year community order
He told the pervert that he would spend the next five years on the sex offenders register and he must adhere to a sexual prevention order for five years
