Pervert handed suspended sentence for grooming child online

A pervert has avoided a prison sentence after he groomed what he believed was the online profile of a schoolgirl

Ahmet Arslanboga 39 of Woolwich was sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court for sexual communication with a child

Fast food restaurant owner Arslanboga was arrested in May after he contacted an online profile that he believed belonged to a 14 year old girl

The pervert sent naked images of himself, and explained in depth what masturbation involved.

He demanded the child to perform sexual acts on herself.

Arslanboga arranged a meet with the girl.

However, the child did not exist, and was infact engaged in conversation with an adult member of online child protection ‘The Force’

The team passed the evidence to another team called ‘Cobra UK’ who carried out the sting. Members of the team questioned the pervert on his online activity and asked him who he had been talking to.

The police were called and Arslanboga was arrested and subsequently charged with online grooming offences

The judge handed Arslanboga a six month prison sentence which was suspended for two years.

He must adhere to a 10 year sexual harm prevention order and will remain on the sex offenders register for 10 years.

A £1,200 statutory surcharge was also imposed
