Teenager avoids prison sentence after raping and abusing schoolgirls

A teenager has avoided a prison sentence after sexually abusing and raping five young girls

Matthew Keyte of Worcester appeared at Leamington Spa Court where he pleaded not guilty to: 

  • Three counts of child rape

  • Two counts of sexual assault by penetration on a child under 16 

  • Four counts of sexual assault on a child aged under 16

The court was told that the offences took place in a number locations, including a house and a local park

Violence and threats were made by Keyte to the victims in an attempt to silence them

Keyte whose dad is a police officer avoided a prison sentence and was instead handed a youth rehabilitation order with intensive supervision
