Pervert caught by paedophile hunters ‘Wolfpack Hunters UK’
A pervert who spoke sexually online to someone who he believed was a child has been jailed
Terence Ibbitson, of Leeds appeared at Court where he pleaded guilty to:
Three counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a girl under 16
Three counts of attempting to incite a girl under 16 to engage in sexual activity
The court was told that Ibbitson had contacted an online profile of a child. He sent a string of sexual messages and explicit chat. Within weeks, Ibbitson had contacted two other profiles he believed were children
However, the profiles were actually run by adult members of paedophile hunting team ‘Wolfpack Hunters UK’
The team confronted Ibbitson and questioned him about his internet activity. The team were told that the pervert was on bail for similar offences that he had committed several weeks before.
The team called the police and Ibbitson was arrested and later charged. This time he was not released on bail and instead remanded.
The judge sentenced Ibbitson to 18 months in prison
He was told that he must register as a sex offender for 10 years and restrictions were placed on him by way of a 10 year sexual harm prevention order
