Pervert caught by paedophile hunters
A pervert has walked free from court after he spoke sexually to someone online who he believed was a child
Unemployed Damien Williams, of Bolton appeared at Bolton Crown Court where he admitted a number of online child grooming offences
The court heard that Williams had contacted the online profiles who he believed belonged to several children.
Williams sent sexually explicit chat to four profiles in total – Two aged 13 and two aged 14
The chat included Williams wanting sexual activity with the children and telling them to keep the conversations secret.
However, the children did not exist, and were actually members of online child protection team ‘Totnes Justice’
Williams was originally caught grooming and was arrested and given bail then a few months later he was caught a second time grooming again by ‘North West Predator Hunters’
The judge sentenced Williams to:
Community order for three years
Sex Offenders Rehabilitation Activity Requirement
To register as a sex offender for five years
