Burton paedophile jailed after making 300 indecent images of children

A 47-year-old Burton paedophile has been jailed after admitting making more than 300 indecent images of children.

Simon Anguish, of Oak Street, had admitted charges at a previous court hearing.

He had pleaded guilty to offences of creating and distributing indecent images of children. He also admitted attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity.

He appeared at Stafford Crown Court for sentence.

He was sentenced to 27 months in jail. He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for 10 years and was made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years.

Burton pervert admits inciting child to engage in sexual activity

A 47-year-old Burton man has admitted offences of creating and distributing indecent images of children.

Simon Anguish also admitted a charge of attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity when he appeared at Stafford Crown Court.

He pleaded guilty to distributing five indecent images of children – three at category A, the most serious; one category B image, and one category C – in Burton on July 9, 2016.

Anguish also pleaded guilty to three charges of making indecent photographs of children on dates between September 2011 and January last year.

These were said to be stored on an iPhone and a laptop computer and included both still and moving images.

The court heard that these included a total of 143 category A images, 58 category B, and 216 category C images. the court was told.

Anguish also pleaded guilty to attempting to incite a 12-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity between January 5 and January 27 last year.

At the crown court on Monday, July 16, sentence was adjourned until August 10 for reports and Anguish, of Oak Street, Burton, was allowed bail until then.
