Paedophile let kids wrap him in toilet roll at communion party
A child sex offender who attended a child’s first holy communion party allowed himself to be wrapped in toilet tissue by children at the gathering.
Blackburn magistrates heard Simon Peter Turner was subject to a sexual offences prevention order which would have required him to tell every parent at the party of his previous convictions.
Turner, 49, of Gifford Way, Darwen, pleaded guilty to breach of a sexual harm prevention order by being in the company of numerous children at a party and their parents were not aware of his convictions.
He was committed to Preston Crown Court to be sentenced on August 20.
Gareth Price, defending, said Turner had been released from prison for the original offences two years ago and this was the first breach. His partner’s best friend invited them to her daughter’s holy communion party in Blackpool. “
“The order says he should have revealed his convictions and the existence of the order to all the parents at the party.”
