Private tutor jailed for launching sex attacks on girls during lessons
A private tutor has been jailed for molesting young girls during lessons.
One of the victims was attacked in her family home by twisted Sanjeev Mittal, 49.
Police were alerted to those offences after launching an investigation when another girl told her father that she was touched inappropriately at Mittal’s house in Edgbaston.
He went to the NSPCC in November 2016 and the police were alerted.
The second victim told officers that Mittal assaulted her during lessons at the family home as well as at his home and business addresses.
He was found guilty of nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13 and jailed for five years on Friday.
The sentence was welcomed by Julia Mcsorley, of the Crown Prosecution Service.
She said: “Sanjeev Mittal abused his position of trust and authority to inappropriately touch his two young victims for his own sexual gratification.
