A man who admitted harassing Sharon Ní Bheoláin and possessing some 100 child abuse images will be jailed today, a judge has said.
Conor O’Hora, 41, of Heather Walk, Portmarnock, pleaded guilty at Dublin circuit criminal court to harassing the RTÉ newsreader, posting 32 modified pictures of her online between March 2013 and January 2014.
He also admitted three counts of knowingly possessing child pornography on a mobile phone and computer.
These charges were connected to the possession of images of children involved in sexually explicit activity and 40 sexually explicit and violent online conversations with a co-accused man.
O’Hora was remanded in custody overnight, pending sentencing, and Judge Martin Nolan warned that he would certainly face jail for his “debasing behaviour” and “insidious harassment”.
