Pervert hid camera in bag and slid it under toilet doors to film people at service stations
A pervert hid his camera in a carrier bag and slid it under cubicle doors to film men and boys using toilets at service stations.
Ian Evans, 37, was also caught with dozens of indecent images of children including a video of the most serious Category A involving the rape and torture of an 18-month-old baby boy
When the police searched his home Evans told officers: “There are things I have looked at that I should not have.”
Cardiff Crown Court heard police went to his home on January 9 and seized items including a laptop, hard drive, mobile phone, camera and memory card.
Joanna James, prosecuting, said officers found 43 Category A videos involving children as young as five being raped
The court heard there were also 34 Category B films showing eight-year-old children performing sexual acts with toddlers present.
Officers discovered “home movies” of boys – aged under 13 – and men in toilet cubicles.
Prosecutors said some of the images were still on the device while others had been deleted.
Evans, from Rickards Street in Graig, Pontypridd, admitted voyeurism, taking indecent images of children, and two counts of possessing indecent images of children.
Judge Crowther reminded the defendant all the children in the videos were real.
Evans was jailed for 18 months and made the subject of a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order. He will have to comply with notification requirements for the same period.
An order was made for the electronic equipment to be forfeited and destroyed.
