Newport man jailed over indecent images
A Newport man has been sentenced to 14 months in prison after pleading guilty to downloading indecent images of children.
Kieron Dineen, 50, of Loftus Walk, Newport, appeared in Newport Crown Court this week charged with three counts of accessing indecent images.
Dineen had images seized by Gwent Police on Monday December 5, last year.
Judge Philip Harris-Jenkins sentenced him to 14 months in prison, and made him subject to a sexual harm prevention order that will last 10 years.
Dineen was told, on Tuesday, he must serve at least half of his sentence before being released, and that will be listed on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years.
