Unpaid work for man who downloaded indecent images of children
AN INNERWICK man has been placed on the sex offenders’ register after he admitted downloading indecent images of children.
Callan Chilvers was found to be in possession of the pictures, accumulated over a six-year period at his home address.
The 25-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last month and he returned for sentencing last Tuesday.
Sheriff Nigel Ross placed Chilvers on the sex offenders’ register for three years and also ordered him to complete 200 hours of unpaid work in the community.
A not guilty plea to possessing extreme pornographic images depicting bestiality at his home over the same period was accepted by the Crown.
Chilvers admitted producing the images or allowing them to be produced at his home address between June 1, 2011, and July 31 last year.

A pervert has admitted downloading images of child abuse.
Callan Chilvers pleaded guilty to a charge of taking the pictures or permitting them to be taken at his home address in Innerwick.
The 25-year-old was placed on the sex offenders’ register for a period still to be determined and full sentence will be handed down on May 15.
Chilvers committed the offence between June 1, 2011, and July 31 last year.
