Paedophile sentenced for sexual offences against young girls
A paedophile has been jailed after being found guilty of multiple sexual offences against four young girls
Kirklees Council employee Edward Wilson, 66, of Ripon Road, Earlsheaton, appeared at Leeds Crown Court where he admitted 18 counts of indecent assault on a female under 14 between 1997 and 2005, and two counts of assault on a female 13 and over by penetration between 2003 and 2005.
The court was told that Wilson began abusing one child when she was six years old. And the repeated abuse continued until she reached 15 years old.
Three other girls aged between six and eight years old were also sexually abused by Wilson
Wilson was sentenced to a total of 8 years and was told that he must register as a sex offender for life
A sexual harm prevention order was also put in place for an indefinite period of time, which prevents unsupervised contact with any child aged under 16 years old
