Pervert couple given jail term

A depraved couple have been jailed for enticing girls into their Langley Mill home and introducing them to pornography and sex talk.

A court was told it ended with David Cooper having sexual contact with a girl aged 14 at the house in Milnhay Road.

A four-year prison sentence was imposed on Cooper, now 31, who admitted one charge of sexual activity with a child.

His wife Leanne was sent to prison for two years. The pair admitted two charges of causing a child to watch a sexual act and two of inciting a child to engage in a sexual act.

They were put on the sex offenders’ register for life when they faced judge David Price at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday. He told them:”You both set out to corrupt young girls.

You made your house attractive for them to visit, you allowed them to smoke and drink. “The girls were 14 at the time you introduced them to pornography,” said the judge as he sentenced the pair.

Andrew Eastall, prosecuting, said the offences began in the summer of 2004 and ended in the spring of last year.

“This husband and wife successfully exploited, used and manipulated three teenage girls for their sexual motives and pleasure,” he said.

The wife, who was 25 at the time, spoke openly of her sexual interests and things she did with her husband. One girl was shown sex toys and a nude photo of him.

On one occasion, she suggested a girl could “warm up” her husband for when she returned home.

Another comment was to ask “how naughty do you think I could make her in a few days?” added Mr Eastall.
