Llanelli paedophile may face additional charges
A LLANELLI man due to be jailed for sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl may face more charges
Graham Harry John Rogers, aged 63, had been due to be sentenced today (Apr 9) at Swansea Crown Court by Judge Geraint Walters.
Rogers, of Tirgof, Llangennech, had admitted sexually assaulting the youngster and taking photographs of him doing it.
The court heard that some of the indecent images were of the girl in various stages of undress but others showed Rogers removing her underwear.
But Kevin Jones, prosecuting, asked the judge for more time because police wanted to further examine cameras and other technology found at Rogers’ home.
Mr Jones said Rogers was due to be re-interviewed by police this Friday.
He said that while investigating the complaint of sexual assault police had found that Rogers had taken photographs of the girl on a mobile telephone. But they had also discovered that he had used a camera and transferred some of the images onto a different device.
Rogers admitted making eight indecent images classed as being in category B and 28 in category C.
Mr Jones said the court would be updated about the latest developments at a hearing on April 20.
The court will then fix a sentencing date.
Judge Walters said he would order probation officers to prepare a report into Rogers’ background but not until the extent of his offending was fully understood.
