Martin McLaughlin – Skelmersdale pleaded guilty to:

 

1,  Attempting to communicate with child for the purpose of sexual gratification

2,  Attempt to cause a child aged 13 to 15 to watch / look at an image of sexual activity

3, Adult attempt to meet a girl under 16 years of age following grooming

4, Possess a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis /cannabis resin

 

He was given a total of 15 months imprisonment, made subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order to remain in force until further order made, and directed to sign the Sex Offender Register for 10 years.

The court also directed that the defendant may be referred to the Vetting and Barring Service.

There was a forfeiture order made for a mobile phone and the drugs seized.
