Man admits possessing nearly 7,000 indecent photos of children
A man has admitted making and possessing indecent images of children and possessing “extreme” images of animal porn.
Michael Wilson, 49, of North Parade, Frome, appeared at Bath Magistrates’ Court today (January 24) charged with five different counts.
He was charged with three counts of making indecent photographs of children (in practical terms downloading) at an address near Bath spanning nearly seven years between October 27, 2010 and March 27, 2017.
3,050 category C images (meaning other indecent images not covered by categories A or B) and six movies
1,802 category B images (non-penetrative sexual activity) and six movies
1,930 category A images (involving penetrative sexual activity) and 15 movies
Wilson was also charged with possessing prohibited images of children, including 34 images and 10 movies, between November 4, 2016 and March 15, 2017.
He was also charged with possessing “extreme” pornographic images which portrayed, in an explicit and realistic way, a person performing an act of intercourse with animals.
The court heard he possessed eight images and 12 movies showing animal porn, namely horses and dogs, which was “grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise an obscene character”.
Wilson entered a guilty plea for all five charges at Bath Magistrates’ Court.
He will now be sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on February 21, 2018.
