Peter Irwin appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday, April 12 and was ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register and will be subject to a sexual harm prevention order.
He was given a nine month prison sentence, which was suspended for two years.
Man admits having thousands of indecent child images and dog sex pornography
A man has admitted to making and possessing thousands of indecent child images and extreme pornography.
Peter Irwin, 55, of no fixed address, was found in possession of the material – including a person having sex with dogs – as well as making thousands of indecent photographs of children in Retford on November 28 last year.
Nearly 150 of the images of children he made were Category A – the most serious under law.
Irwin appeared at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on March 16 and pleaded guilty to:
Making 146 Category A indecent images of a child
Making 2,389 Category B indecent images of a child
Making four Category C indecent images of a child
Possessing nine extreme pornographic images of a person having sex with dogs
Possessing 658 prohibited images of a child
The case was adjourned until Irwin’s next appearance, for sentencing, at Nottingham Crown Court on April 6.
