Man sentenced over child abuse images seizure
A man has been sentenced for child abuse images offences after a raid in south Manchester.
Philip Hodson, 38, from Baguley, Wythenshawe, was convicted of possessing and downloading indecent images of children..
A series of police raids across Greater Manchester were conducted on Thursday, October 24, last year.
The sting was part of Operation Challenger, the largest ever multi-agency operation set up to target organised crime in Manchester.
During the raids, a 3D printer was recovered from a home in Baguley along with other component parts.
As a result of that investigation, officers seized a computer and indecent images of children belonging to Hodson
Hodson avoided a prison sentence and was handed a 16 month in prison suspended for two years
He was told he must register as sex offender for 10 years
