Ex-Met Police constable sentenced for downloading indecent child images
A former Metropolitan Police Special Constable from Ashford has been sentenced after more than a thousand indecent images of children were found on his computer’s hard drive.
George Corr, of Fontmell Park, was reported to Childline in August 2016.
A member of the public claimed he had ‘disgusting images of children’ on his computer and iPad.
This prompted police to search his property following his arrest, during which they found over a thousand indecent images of children saved on his computer’s hard drive and mobile phone back up. They dated back to December 2013.
Earlier this week the 25 year-old was handed a 15 month sentence suspended for two years, after pleading guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children.
He will also take part in 60 days of rehabilitation, as well as 175 hours of unpaid work.
Corr will be on the sex offender’s register for 10 years and will have a sexual harm prevention order against him for 15 years.
