Former school teacher sent to prison after admitting several counts of producing indecent images
A former school teacher has been jailed after being convicted of a string of making indecent images.
Andrew Cork, 38, formerly of Jeffery Close, Wokingham, admitted a number of offences relating to indecent images and publishing obscene articles.
He was sentenced to three years and two months in prison, and will remain on the sex offenders register for life, and has also been made subject to a sexual harm prevention order.
Cork, who worked at Woodley Church of England School between 2012 and 2016, as well as being a karate instructor, used peer to peer sites on the internet to obtain and share child abuse material, and published an obscene story on a website.
He was charged on May 17 2017, and appeared at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday January 25 2018 where he admitted the charges.
On January 29 2018, he returned to the same court where he was given his sentence.
A spokesman for Woodley Church of England School said: “He no longer works for us, so we do not wish to make any comment.”
