Thousands of child and animal abuse images found on Maidenhead man’s PC

EXTREME indecent images of children and animals were stored alongside a husband’s wedding pictures for more than 11 years.

Jakob Jankowski, of Ray Mead Road, Maidenhead, collected nearly 24,000 images of children less than one year old being tied up and abused by men and animals.

Police stormed into the 34-year-old’s house in February and found three hard drives with 5,000 Category A pictures and movies featuring bestiality and abuse to children.

William Eaglestone, prosecuting at Reading Crown Court on Friday of last week, said: “The ages of the children are estimated to be less than one year old up to the age of 15. There are images of young boys and girls being tied up and performing oral sex on a dog.

“Children look distressed and in some of the movies you can hear that they are distressed. The age and vulnerability of the children should be given significant weight.”

Originally from Poland, Jankowski was said to suffer a difficult childhood after his father died when he was only eight.

Jankowski was sentenced to 28 months in prison after admitting making indecent images of children, possession of extreme pornographic images and possession of a prohibited image of a child.

He was committed to the Sex Offender’s Register for 10 years and handed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Recorder Rhona Campbell, sentencing, added: “These matters may take place on the internet, but it does not allow for any detachment from the victims.

“These children are real and your collection is one of the largest we have seen. If there was not a market for people like you then these children would not be treated in this way.

“Categorisation had to be stopped as the collection went above and beyond the limit for Thames Valley Police. There are other pieces of equipment that have not been checked and those must not be returned before they have been checked.”

A forfeiture order was made for the destruction of the three hard drives.
