Dublin paedophile profits from ‘kid friendly’ villa

A child sexual abuse images pervert who was caught with videos and photos of child sex abuse is making a fortune renting out his luxury US property to families with children.

Paedophile Paul Devine (45) from Lanesborough Drive, Finglas, has been lying low ever since he received a suspended sentence for possessing 25 videos and 80 photographs of child sex abuse last year.

Now it has emerged that Devine is making a fortune with his luxury villa in Florida — which he boasts is only 10 minutes from Disney World — and is booked out next month at a cost of €120 a night.

Advertised on many sites including Airbnb — Devine’s ‘Dolphin Villa’ in Clermont, Florida, has five bedrooms that fit up to 12 people and the ad says that it includes “a travel cot/pack ‘n’ play” as well as a games room.

The Stateside house also features a swimming pool, cable TV in every room, a PC and printer along with Wi-Fi for guests.

“This luxury holiday villa has five bedrooms and its own pool with an enclosure and a lanai [shaded porch] so you can enjoy a swim in the pool without getting too hot,” one ad for the property states.

“The pool area has woodland outlook with views of Disney fireworks and there is a large side garden.

“Large DVD/CD collections with movies for adults & children.”

On Airbnb the ad states that the home is “family/kid friendly”.

It has emerged that Mr Devine will be making at least €8,160 so far this year as his property is booked out throughout the month of March and for 20 days in August.

The pervert, who once worked as a shop merchandiser, last year admitted to looking at porn on a laptop he shared with his innocent wife — and said he sometimes looked at images of naked children.

Sergeant Gavin Ross told the court that 47 images of abuse were found on a temporary internet file, which is a file created by the computer and records the content that the user viewed online.

He also said 13 images were found in another temporary folder which was created by the computer’s operating system and recorded the sites the user had looked at.

He said another 14 images were found on the hard disk of the computer.

Of the 80 images found in Devine’s possession, 76 were images of naked children and four showed children engaging in sexual activity.

Sgt Ross said 25 video files were also found in Devine’s possessions which all showed the genitalia of young boys.
