A former teacher at a prep school attended by Prince Charles and Prince Philip has been banned from the classroom for life, two years after he admitted downloading indecent images of children.
Michael Denton, who taught religious education and maths and was head of IT at Cheam School, in Headley, Hampshire, was arrested after he downloaded a film
Police seized his computers and then found 163 images of children, some of whom were naked.
In 2015 at North Hampshire magistrates’ court Denton admitted seven charges of making an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of children between December 2009 and June 2010.
He was given a community order and told to take part in a sex offenders programme.
