Missing man found in Exmouth admits 30 years of child sex offences
A man who went missing sparking a major search operation before he was found in Exmouth has admitted child sex offences which took place over 30 years.
Terence Dengler, 67, has admitted indecent assault on a girl under 11, a second charge of indecent assault on a girl under 11, gross indecency with a child, indecent assault and two indecent assaults on a girl aged under nine.
Devon and Cornwall Police appealed for help finding Dengler when he went missing for three days in October
At the time, a police spokesman said: “Police are increasingly concerned for Terence Dengler, who has been missing from his home since the morning of Thursday, October 12.
“He is described as a white male, 67 years old, approximately 6ft tall with short silver white hair and a short silver beard. He is believed to be wearing a dark jacket and jeans and may be wearing sunglasses and carrying a rucksack.
“It is thought Terence may be in or have visited the Exeter area and may have travelled by train.”
He was found a day later in the Exmouth area of Devon.
The case at Truro Crown Court was adjourned for sentencing at a later date.
