Charity volunteer in court after ‘sting’ by online child protection team
A charity volunteer has admitted to several sexual offences, after being caught by online child protection ‘UK database’
32-year-old Torquay man Toni Stevens appeared at Plymouth Magistrates Court and pleaded guilty to:
Two counts of engaging in sexual communication with a child
Attempting to cause a child aged between 13-15 to watch or look at indecent images
It was revealed that Stevens had contacted dozens of children online and sent them sexually explicit images of himself and nude images of a woman over 18. Stevens also sent sexually explicit chat describing what he wanted the child to do.
Stevens was remanded in custody and will appear at Exeter Crown Court on the 19th December, where he will be sentenced
