Sex offender sentenced to more than six years for abusing two girls
A sex offender has been sentenced to more than six years for abusing two small girls.
Donald Beeson, 53, of Colley Moor Leys Lane, Clifton, was convicted after a trial at Nottingham Crown Court.
Sentencing him on Tuesday (November 22), Judge Sarah Buckingham gave him a total of 78 months in prison for his offending.
And she ordered he be on a sexual harm prevention order and the sex offenders’ register.
She said what happened was “repeated offending against vulnerable children”.
Beeson was found guilty of three charges of indecent assault and one charge of indecency with a child.
Prosecutor Gregor Purcell said a statement set out the impact of the offending on her; describing social anxiety, lack of trust in others and difficulty making friends.
Beeson had behaved inappropriately with her at a young age, the court heard.
On one occasion he tried to get her to touch him and she said “no”.
The defendant was also convicted of indecency with a child, involving a second girl, when he tried to get her to touch him.
