Man jailed for sexually abusing young girls
An East Preston man has been given an 18-year sentence for a series of sexual assaults on three girls.
Wayne Gavin Mathura, 52, of Roundstone Crescent, East Preston, was sentenced after appearing at Hove Crown Court.
The first 13 years will be spent in custody, and the remaining five will be spent on extended prison release licence supervision.
He will also be a registered sex offender for life.
He had been convicted at Hove Crown Court on 28 September of 13 counts of rape and sexual assault committed between 2007 and 2009 on the three girls who were aged 13 to 17 at the time. All three were known to him.
