Pervert had sex with girl, 15, after asking if she was on the pill
Pervert Kevin Simm has been locked up after being convicted of a string of sex offences against a schoolgirl.
The 36-year-old met the youngster – who was aged around 15 at the time – on a number of occasions.
Stafford Crown Court heard Simm:
Gave the youngster alcohol and then kissed her;
Kept in touch with the girl and met up with her at a North Staffordshire beauty spot;
Had sex with the youngster when they met for the final time.
Now Simm, of St Bernard’s Road, Knutton, has been jailed for seven years. He admitted having intercourse with the girl and was convicted of four counts of sexual activity with a child under the age of 16.
He was found not guilty of two counts of the same charge following a trial in September.
Judge Paul Glenn told the defendant: “You were between nine or 10 years older than the girl. On one occasion you were alone with her, gave her alcohol and kissed her. You then asked her if she was on the contraceptive pill. You later met the girl a final time and had sex.”
The court heard that a number of years later Simm sent social media messages to his victim.
Addressing Simm, Judge Glenn said: “You still claim not to remember sending the messages and in them you alleged the girl drugged you. But when she gave evidence she was not vindictive and she was frank.”
The defendant has also been barred from working with children and vulnerable adults.
